Manifest Auction 2010 Terms & Conditions.
On-the-day Auction Lots Registration
- On the day Auction Lots registration will be opened on Friday and Saturday at 10:00 AM and closed at 6:00 pm of the Manifest Weekend.
Details Required: Seller Name; Seller Phone Number; Item/s Name; Item/s description (Include relevant details such as DVD region, quality of Item/s, Viewer's Rating PG, etc.); Starting Price.
Please Note: It would be handy to have all details written out on a sheet of paper. Saves both you and us time.
- There will be a maximum of one hundred and twenty (120) Auction Lots. Once this limit has been reached, no new registration of Auction Lots will be accepted until preregistered lots are opened up at Saturday 5:00 pm.
- Please return at Saturday 21st 2010,5:00 PM to re-register your Auction Lot if we have told you that Auction Lot Registration is filled. This is the cut-off time for all online pre-registered items to have arrived. Any online pre-registered lots with its respective lots not handed in will be automatically given to a first come, first serve policy at Saturday 21st 2010, 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
- Maximum number of Auction Lots per person is five (5) lots TOTAL. Multiple items may be placed in a single lot (IE: Bag of assorted Manga books, four plushies to be sold together).
- Starting Price must be in whole dollar amounts (IE: $4.00, $20.00, etc.). Any item handed in without a Starting Price will be assigned a Starting Price of two dollars ($2.00).
- There will be NO RESERVE PRICE for items. This is to ease time constraints and reduce exaggerated expectations of winning bids. Starting Price may be adjusted with Auctioneer permission when handing in items.
- Any item of Adult Content MUST be labeled as such when handing in to Auction Desk. This will be restricted from certain bidders. Covering of any and all graphical full frontal nudity and explicit sexual actions is required.
- Any items judged to be bootleg and/or pirated by relevant Manifest Committee will be pulled from Auction and returned to seller with a warning.
- All items once handed in will be stored by Manifest Auction. Manifest is not held responsible for the condition or security of Auction items.
Auction Bidders.
- All bidders MUST use a auction fan/paddle supplied by Manifest from the Auction Desk (on Saturday) or outside the Auction Theater (Sunday). A security deposit of one dollar ($1.00) is required.
- Return of security deposit will occur upon return of Auction fan/paddle.
- Should Auction fan/paddle be lost, the security deposit will be used for purchase of replacement fan/paddle.
- You will be checked for Age Identification of over 18 years of age upon collection of fan/paddle. Acceptable forms of Identification include Manifest Badges COMBINED WITH Driver's Lisence (P's & Full Driver's Lisence), Passports, Proof of Age Identification Card and University Identification Cards with Date Of Birth included upon them.
- SCHOOL IDENTIFICATION CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF AGE IDENTIFICATION.
- A list of Auction Items will be available from outside the Auction Theater on Sunday. Should you have friends with you, please share your copy of the Auction List.
During the Auction
- The Auctioneer may withdraw Auction Lots from sale at any time. This will be most likely due to bootleg or inappropriate merchandise handed in.
- Bids for Auction Lots at the Auction will be only in whole dollar amounts.
- The Auctioneer will refuse any bid not of a whole dollar amount.
- The assumed bidding raise will be a minimum of one dollar ($1.00)
- To bid, buyers should raise fan/paddle when Auctioneer announces the highest bid.
- Should any buyer wish to bid above the highest bid by more than one dollar ($1.00), please announce in a loud voice the new high bid (whole dollar amount only). Auction staff may not be able to hear you clearly.
- Should multiple bids occur simultaneously, the Auction staff will declare the highest amount screamed out to be the new highest bid.
- Any movement of fan/paddle raised above an audience member's head will be assumed to be a bid. Please avoid waving the fan/paddle unnecessarily.
- The winning bid and associated fan/paddle's number will be recorded by Auction Staff after the Auctioneer says “Sold.”
- Should time be available after all lots have been bidded upon, passed in items may be put up for another round of bidding.
- In the event of a dispute concerning a bid, the auctioneer may re-submit the Auction Lot for sale at the last undisputed bid.
- The Auctioneer will not accept any bid after the property has been sold to a successful bidder.
After the Auction
- All successful buyers may come to the Auction Desk one hour after the Auction Event has finished to exchange money for goods.
- Exact amounts is preferred, as change may not be available.
- Identification of buyer will be through Auction fan/paddle. No fan/paddle, no items.
- Exchange of fan/paddle for security deposit will occur simultaneously at the Auction Desk.
- All fan/paddles may be exchanged for security deposit at the Auction Desk after the Auction Event.
- Should the fan/paddle be lost or damaged beyond usefulness, security deposit will be retained by Manifest for replacement costs of fan/paddle.
- All winning buyers must pick up goods by Sunday 22nd 2010 5:00 pm. Any items not picked up by buyers WILL BE RETURNED to sellers.
- Sellers may pick up their winnings and/or returned items at Sunday 22nd 2010 5:00 pm. Should these not be collected, Seller will be phoned up for collection rendezvous.
- Manifest will not sell unsold/returned items at the Auction Desk. Any such arrangements will be made between sellers & prospective buyers.
