Announcement of the first Manimeet after Manifest.

Date: 4th of September
Start time: Noon
Location: Gazebo at Queen Elizabeth Gardens

For those who are new and don't know what a Manimeet is, a Manimeet is a chance to meet up with friends you met through Manifest, keep in contact with them throughout the year!

World-con is happening very shortly after Manifest. We're aware that a number of you are going to be rather broke after Manifest, or may not even be interested in Science Fiction at all!
However, you'd still like to do something social with all your Mani-friends

Well, how about a picnic?

For those who have never been to a Manifest picnic, we will be holding it at the gazebo in Queen Victoria Gardens.

Here is a helpful (if not poorly drawn) map to help you make your way there.

Also, check out and share the facebook event page if you have friends who might like to come as well!

This year, Manifest is pleased to bring you one of the finest voice actors to grace your ears, and one of YouTube's favourite sons: Spike Spencer, and Little Kuriboh!

See you all at Manifest 2010, it's gonna be a blast!

We have had a surfeit of entries into the ever popular Manifest Auction, which as we all know is the best way to gt rid of your no longer loved anime and manga merch.

But if you have things you'd like to get rid of, fear not! We still have a number of slots left, specifically left open for people that would like to register their items on the day, as it were. If you would like to sell some of your old stuff and make some sweet cash to buy new stuff, then congratulations! You're making Capitalism work and helping stave off the GFC! You're also able to do this by bringing your items along and filling in the auction item registration forms at the info desk inside the traders hall. Just make sure you bring it in prior to 6:00pm on the Saturday.

For those of you wondering what's in the auction:

Some of the things that have been pre-registered so far include (but we can't guarantee as it relies on the people registering them to actually bring them)

  • Dozens of manga series, both complete and partial;
  • Evangelion super lucky snacks... because LCL is corn flavoured;
  • DVDs galore;
  • Ecchi figurines;
  • Mint condition art books;
  • oh, and an all expenses paid date with Peppa Chan

As many of you who have attended either Australia's best anime convention and/or SupaNova: Melbourne before, getting to the Showgrounds by tram can be something of a hassle, and the situation with cars is not much better... Which is why we think you should catch a train.

Thanks to the Department of Transport and Metro Trains Melbourne, we are now able to provide rather frequent trains to Manifest for most of the day!

Trains will be departing Flinders.st Station, going via Southern Cross station, and then running to Showgrounds Station, before heading back.

Trains will be start running from 9:40am up until 6:20pm each day, with trains roughly every 20 minutes on Saturday & Sunday, and every 40 or so on Friday. A valid Metcard or Myki will be required for travel.

Those of you that have already received Manifest passes in the mail may go directly into the festival itself. Those of you that need to pick up or purchase passes will be escorted to the registration area.

More information can be found on our Transport Page.

Yeah, that's about it.

It's available here.

You've got old anime junk you don't really use anymore. How much more awesome would it be if you could technomagically transform it into cash that could be used to buy newer, better, anime stuff?

Very awesome, but the jerks at Cash Converters have no idea how much this stuff is actually worth.

It's a good thing other Manifest attendees know the true value of your painstakingly gathered complete collection and are willing to pay you for them. Which is why we have our auction!

You can register your Auction items now, by filling out the auction item registration form!
