Volunteer!

The volunteers are the feet that carry Manifest to places where others have never gone before. Manifest is a not-for-profit event showcasing Japanese animation and other Japanese-related pop cultures, brought to the public for fans by fans of the genre. We pride ourselves on providing a great, memorable and enjoyable weekend to our members. Volunteers are always an integral part in the running of Manifest and we need all that we can to be able to make the event a success. Please be aware that by becoming a Manifest volunteer does not ensure free entry to the event itself.

There are two ways that you can get involved in Manifest by volunteering.

  • As an on the day volunteer; or
  • As part of the Manifest Organising Committee.

    • On The Day Volunteering

    This is where you get to help out during the convention. Over the coming months the Volunteer's Co-ordinator will be sending out emails about the different tasks that you can help out with. You will receive a timetable detailing the times, hours and where you will be rostered during the weekend. Depending on numbers, you may be rostered to help out in the screening theatres, running some errands for the Organising Committee, or be at various Manifest tables like Food & Drinks, Merchandise or Information Desk.

    As a volunteer at Manifest, we will give you a volunteer's T-shirt that you may keep, a thank you letter and access to the volunteers-only event after Manifest.

    So if you're interested in helping at Manifest 2006, please do the following:
    i. Download the volunteer's form.
    ii. Complete all the details.
    iii. Send it to the address below:

    After that is done, the Volunteer's Co-ordinator will contact you and keep you up to date with the latest volunteer information.

    Manifest Organising Committee

    For a more in-depth volunteer experience, why not join the Manifest Organising Committee (MOC)? The MOC ensure that Manifest actually occurs, and is a great way for you to have your say on what you want to see and occur at Manifest. All that is required is a little bit of your time, dedication, ability to take responsibility and most important of all, enthusiasm. The annual MOC membership fee is $10. To join, just attend one of our meetings, the details of which can be found on the main page.
