Attendee's Code of Conduct
By signing the registration form, you are agreeing to the conditions listed below. If you are under the age of 18 at the time of Manifest, please have your parent/guardian sign the form.
Your registration badge MUST be worn and visible AT ALL TIMES whilst on the Convention site.
Manifest claims all rights pertaining to commercial use of all audio recordings, video recordings, and photography of Manifest events. Manifest also reserves the right to use any such media published in the public domain for publicity purposes. We will contact you when this occurs.
Patrons under the age of 15 MUST be directly supervised by a responsible adult at all times, both to ensure their safety and to prevent them from disrupting the enjoyment of other Convention members.
Heckling during any screening/event is NOT acceptable. Those found heckling will be dealt with as deemed appropriate.
Please look after the venue.
We have only hired some areas of the University - please keep out of any others. The areas we are using will be well signed.
NO WEAPONS are to be brought to, worn or carried at any time during the convention (including water pistols, real or replica guns, swords and knives), unless officially approved as part of a Manifest event.
In the interests of other Convention members, please TURN OFF your mobile phones and pagers whilst in any of the theatres.
No flash powder, lasers, explosions, pyrotechnics or open flames of any kind will be permitted.
No sitting in the aisles, as this constitutes a fire hazard. Any patron found sitting in the aisles will be asked to leave the theatre until vacant seats become available.
If you are wearing body makeup, please ensure that it does not readily rub off on seats, others' clothes, etc. This is for your benefit as well as for others.
No smoking inside any buildings or within 10 metres of an open doorway or air intake.
No alcohol or illegal drugs are to be brought, sold, on-sold or consumed on site.
Manifest patrons are not allowed to sleep on the site. This is an Occupational Health and Safety Regulations issue.
No sexual, racial, political harassment or harassment of any other kind of another Manifest member is permitted. Manifest encourages its members to have fun, but not at the expense of other members.
Manifest organisers reserve the right to EJECT individuals from the event itself (either temporarily or permanently) should they feel any of the above rules have been violated. In extreme cases, the Manifest committee reserves the right to BAN an individual from future Manifest Conventions.
By attending a Manifest event, you agree to possibly being filmed and that resulting footage to be used in future promotional activities related to Manifest.
