MANIFEST was held at Melbourne University in the Economics and Commerce building on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 of August 2002, 9am - 10pm each day. Melbourne University is in Parkville, just north of the city of Melbourne itself. The university is on Melway Reference 2B D6.
Melbourne University is easy to reach by public transport from the city - most of the trams running up Swanston St go past the university, as does the number 19 tram on Elizabeth St. If you want more information of Public Transport, Victoria's Official Public Transport Site can help you get there.

- Q: Which suburb is the best to get an accommodation that is close to the venue?
A: Melbourne University is in the suburb of Carlton. The three major streets surrounding the university are:
- Grattan Street
- Swanston Street
- Elizabeth Street
The university is also a block away from the famous Lygon Street. In general, any Accommodation inside the CBD are very ideal. Trams going to Melbourne University runs on Swanston Street and usually takes
around 15 minutes to reach Melbourne University.
- Q: Which trams goes to Melbourne University?
A: Melbourne University is positioned one of the major tram lines. You can reach Melbourne University by taking any trams from Swanston Street. These trams are:

- Q: How do I get to the city from airport?
A: Cabs (Taxis) from the airport usually cost around $30 - $40 to take you to the city. We recommend visitors coming in from interstate to take the Skybus from the airport. Upon request to the driver, Skybus will generally stop at major hotels/motels in the CBD. You can also use the ticket as a train ticket to Spencer St. station. A: The closest parking space to MANIFEST 2002 is inside the Melbourne University itself. Listed below is the information on weekend on-campus parking in Melbourne University:
- All-day $2 for public parking (ie. student or non-student)
- Parking can be any designated parking area which is not a reserved spot or one with a name on it.
- Recommended parking area is under Wilson Hall/South Lawns (inside Melbourne University - underground parking)- Overnight parking is not available
