[MANIFEST 2000 - The Third Annual Melbourne Anime Festival]

Rules and Guidelines for Competitions at MANIFEST
The competitions of the festival are open to all comers, provided that they purchase at least a one day ticket to the festival. All competitions require at least three entries before a prize may be awarded.

Trivia Competition Entry Guidelines
Test your trivia skills in teams of four on the night of Saturday 5th of August. There are prizes to be won by the best team, and freebies for everyone along the way. Teams must be registered by 3:00 pm on the day. For more information, e-mail Hamish Kaaden or phone him on xxxx xxxx.

Fanfiction Competition Submission Guidelines
The Fanfic competition is for written works in an anime universe that take on the characters of anime, and play out their themes in interesting ways. The judges will be instructed to look at the quality or writing, the use of style and humour, and effectiveness. (For example, a great tragedy in fanfic is 'Momento Mori' a nice read in the Eva universe).

Please note to attach your name and contact details on a separate page from each entry you submit. The dealine for submissions is the 31st of July. You can either e-mail your work to Justin Semmel or post it to:

Music Video Competition Submission Guidelines
Make a video at least two minutes long and no more than five minutes long. Typically people extract video from anime they like, using the best scenes they can, and dub a music track over that video. The music can be one of your favourite tracks form a CD, or karaoke style singing, just make sure it's fun (or at least appropriate!) Music videos can be mailed by July 31st to:

Cosplay Competition Entry Guidelines
Dress up as an anime character and roleplay a little at something they would do. A simple pose or catch-phrase is enough. Have fun and enjoy yourself, and we'll love what you do! The judges will select the costume that they find the most convincing or entertaining.
